Dear Freestyle athletes, team leaders, and support staff,

It is my pleasure to cordially invite you to participate in the 2012 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup Series,
which will take place August and September of 2012, here in the beautiful southeastern United States.
Tennessee and North Carolina are lovely, mountainous states, with abundant world-class rivers all
within a few hours’ drive, and we hope that you will take the opportunity to enjoy not only the
competitive events, but also to explore some of our local rivers, creeks, and forests.

In addition to our natural wonders, Western North Carolina is proud of its rich cultural and historic
heritage. While you are here, we encourage you to the Cherokee Indian Reservation, Smoky Mountain
National Park, or listening to some good old-fashioned bluegrass music.
